Trick Shot Tennis Tournaments
Trick Shot Tennis Tournaments will eventually be available for anyone to play, regardless of ranking. More on the tournaments below:
More About TST Tournaments: We have already started setting up tournaments, but all of them have been specific to Georgia and haven't been open to the general public to sign up. We plan on setting up tournaments for which anyone will be allowed to join. The tournaments will incorporate the TST ranking by having the lowest ranked players all play each other and win in order to move on to higher rounds, and players with a higher ranking will then feed into the tournament and start in later rounds. Everyone will have an opportunity to win the tournament because everyone with a ranking will be allowed to play. Also, the players with lower rankings will have the opportunity to play more matches, which in turn will allow them more chances to increase their rankings to make it easier in future tournaments
In the Future: We eventually want the tournaments to be free to play and for there to be substantial prizes for the winners. The short-term goal is to find companies that would like to sponsor this endeavor in return for advertising on the website/during the tournaments. We are in contact with some of the biggest tennis streamers & commentators, and they will have the chance to stream the tournament matches live to as many viewers as possible. We hope to allow all players a chance to prove their worth, show off their skills, and to have guaranteed entry into the same tournaments played by pros. For the pros, we hope to find the resources to make it worth your while to play in the TST Tournaments against up-and-coming players you otherwise would not have known existed.
The Ranking System
How the System Works: The algorithm uses points from head-to-head match results to give each player a number, and the numbers are put in order to come up with the rankings. We are aware it is not a perfect system and we will respond to any questions you may have if you contact us. The algorithm was created by an MIT and Brown university graduate who has a doctorate in mathematics.
